  • Lemon squeezer

Method for the Williamine Sour Cocktail

  • 1. Prepare all the ingredients and make sure that you have ice in your freezer. It’s time to get the shaker ready.

  • 2. First, fill the shaker with ice cubes and add an egg white. When making cocktails, it’s advised to only use fresh eggs.

  • 3. Add 4 cl of Morand Williamine® into the mixer.

  • 4. Next up: your lemon squeezer. Add juice from 1/2 a squeezed lemon and a dash of Morand Sugar Cane Syrup into the mixer. Make sure to not add too much at first, as you don’t want it to be too sweet.

  • 5. Close the shaker and shake until your hands feel cold. Make sure to shake it really well.

  • 6. Then blend and pour into a whisky glass through a cocktail strainer.

  • 7. Finally, decorate your Williamine Sour Cocktail with a large zest of lemon.

Tips to make your cocktails better

Don’t be afraid of mixing your own drinks at home. It’s fun, entertaining and exciting. If you are still new to mixing drinks, then be sure to follow the recipes as close as possible to avoid mistakes. Here are also a few more tips for making your perfect cocktail at home.

Shake your drinks with lots of ice

A common mistake that many people make is not using enough ice in their shaker. Don't worry, the extra ice is not going to dilute your drink. It will simply help to cool down the cocktail faster. If you don’t add enough ice in the shaker, you might end up with a drink that is just semi-chilled. It’s important to remember that the cocktail’s temperature does influence the taste.

Use smaller glasses

Have you ever asked yourself why cocktails, especially classic ones, are often served in smaller glasses? Firstly, because most cocktails are quite potent and if you offer your guest a large glass they might not enjoy it. Also, drinks in larger glasses will warm much quicker than those in smaller ones. So, better serve your drinks in small portions and simply mix another round once they are finished.

Shake your drinks well

When you shake your first cocktails, you might find it very difficult and strenuous. However, it’s crucial to shake your drinks really well. Otherwise the ice won’t crush and the cocktail won’t chill. So even if you have to do it several times - shake it, shake it, and a bit more.
